Event/Program Sponsorship

There are many opportunities for Event/Program sponsorship at the Museum.  Two exhibits are showcased during the year, as well as a special Christmas Exhibit that runs from the end of November to mid December.  An entire exhibit, with corresponding events and programs, can be sponsored for $2000.  Main Exhibits are on display for five months and have supporting programs.  After their rotation at the Museum, they become  ‘Traveling Exhibits’ that can be checked out by community centers, churches or schools and be displayed at additional locations for years to come.  Media exposure is greatest for Exhibit sponsorships.

Other event/programs that can be sponsored are Founders’ Day, a heritage festival that is held each year on the Saturday preceding Labor Day ($1,000); The Teaching Trunk Program, an educational outreach to educators in Transylvania County as well as in eight other Western North Carolina Counties ($750.00); Historic Walking Tours ($500), The Children’s Garden, an onsite learning area for children of all ages ($250), and of course, the Christmas Exhibit ($500).  This year’s Christmas Theme will be ‘Rock around the Decade” and will showcase all things from the 1950’s.  The holiday exhibit is fun filled and a big hit with visitors year after year! Sponsors will receive the following:
