                                             Nancy Turner

Turner's full-color photos of mountains, waterfalls, lakes, hiking trails and activities like whitewater kayaking and rock climbing were all taken from the air.  Along with photographers Gil Stose, Turner spent the last two years flying over Western North Carolina in a helicopter from the Chattooga River to Mt. Pisgah on the Blue Ridge Parkway.  Their journey, at different times of the day and through all four seasons, presents the region through a totally unique perspective.

This long-running monthly program series features a wide variety of speakers, performers and artists on an array of topics. During the Sesquicentennial year, each program in the series will focus on some aspect of the arts, history or culture of Transylvania County. Contact the Library for individual program listings. All programs are held in the Rogow Room of the Transylvania County Library, 212 South Gaston Street, Brevard.
