“Bringing the Map to Life” ~ We’ll have a large map of the area which we’ll use to trace the development of the area (electrification, paving roads, telephones, housing developments, etc.) as well as labeling where people who attend live.

Building a “Forest of Family Trees” ~ We’ll develop a very brief, one-page family history (who they are, when they moved here, etc.) for families that choose to participate.  These will be collected in three-ring binders as a resource for all current and future residents of the community.

Video interviews of residents ~ A professional videographer will document interviews with a cross section of local residents… including longer-term residents, newer residents, and those in-between.  We’ll get a better picture of life in our communities over the years.  These individual video threads will be woven into one lasting record that will be enjoyed for many years to come.

Display of local artists’ work.  As in most communities, we have many very creative people living and working among us.  We hope to highlight their work so all residents of the area can enjoy and appreciate it.

Games and fun activities for all ages.
