Hand-sewing project with 4-H Sewing Group and tend to the Museum gardens.
The Museum operates a Children's Garden on our property. Consisting of raised beds, the gardens use the Square Foot Gardening method. Crops vary year to year, but always have a mixture of flowers, herbs and vegatables. The NC Cooperative Office partners with the Museum in activites and programs. They provided the Rain Barrel that the garden utilizes each year.
Monthly activites are scheduled during the season for children to come and learn about "How things grow" and many other interesting things about gardening. The topics of study are varied and decided upon by the Children's Garden Committee.
